Madison/Guilford M.S. Ride

 

Total Distance: 38.4 miles                                           Elevation Gain: 799 ft

Starting Location:  I-95 Exit 62 (Hammonasset Exit) – there is no CPL at this exit

 

Special Directions:  Park beside the chain link fence on Duck Hole Road (road sign)

 

Ride Description:  This is a mostly flat ride (there are a couple modest hills) through sections of

Madison and Guilford, with lots of ocean views.  Visit Hammonasset State Park, Chaffinch Island Park, Mulberry Point, Vineyard Point and Sachem's Head.  Chaffinch Island Park makes a delightful lunch stop, but you can't buy it there.

 

NOTE: At mile 9.7 access to West Wharf may be restricted to Madison residents w/ a beach pass during summer months.
