Starting Location:  Samuel M. Peretz Park (formerly Bridebrook Park), Route 156 in Niantic just east of Rocky Neck State Park.  Take I-95 Exit 72 (Rocky Neck Connector); at end with traffic light go left on Route 156 past the entrance to Rocky Neck State Park and then turn left into Samuel M. Peretz Park, just before the York Correctional facility. 

 

Ride Description:  This ride offers an alternate starting spot for the Renates Niantic Center School ride when school is in session and parking at the school is not possible.  Much of the first portion of the ride is over rolling terrain through a lesser traveled portion of Niantic and features some lake front riding past Pattagansett Lake.  Hains Park at the south end of Rogers Lake is a great spot for a lunch or snack break (deli is across the way).  During the 2nd half of the ride the route visits Rocky Neck State Park and finishes up with a tour of picturesque Giants Neck.
