The Dino Ride: Colchester to Old Lyme

City/Town:  Colchester

 

Starting Location:  CPL on Lake Hayward Rd, off Rt. 85 near Rt. 11 Exit 6 and Rt. 2 Exit 19 in Colchester.  Rt. 2 eastbound to exit 19 (Rt. 11).  Take exit 6 off Rt. 11.  Left at end of exit ramp onto Lake Hayward Rd.  CPL on 0.2 miles on left.  Rt. 2 westbound to exit 20 (Parum Rd, Rt. 354).  Left at end of exit ramp on Parum Rd, Rt. 354.  In ~ 200 yards (1/8 mi.) turn right on Lake Hayward Rd.  CPL is 0.3 miles on right.

 

Ride Description:  Includes a ride through Devil's Hopyard State Park and an ice cream stop at the Salem Creamery about 10 miles from the end of the ride.  This ride is similar to The Dino Ride (modified): Old Lyme to Colchester but differs principally in the starting location.
