Carol's Newgate-to-the-Lake Ride (long version)

Starting Location:  International Skating Center of Connecticut, 1375 Hopmeadow Street (Route 10 & 202) in the northern end of Simsbury near the Wagner car dealerships

 

Ride Description:  This ride travels over mostly rolling terrain through sections of Simsbury, Granby, East Granby, Suffield and Southwick, Massachusetts. It features a visit to Old Newgate Prison and a pretty lunch stop overlooking Congamond Lakes.  Other points of interest include a stop at New England Air Museum, views of the McLean Game Refuge, an abandoned stone quarry, and lots of land under various forms cultivation.
