FinMair 5-Town and 6-Town Tour

 

Total Distance:  43.2 or 53.6 miles                      Elevation Gain:  2908 feet (for short version only)

Starting Location:  Rt. 9 Exit 14 CPL (Beaver Meadow Road) in Haddam

 

Ride Description:  This is a very challenging (read hilly!) ride that should be attempted only by those who are exceptionally fit.  It climbs from the CPL up to and beyond Haddam-Killingworth High School on the way to a visit to Ron McCutcheon Park in Middletown.  It then heads back into Durham for a possible lunch/snack stop at the Durham Green after which it travels through Madison and Killingworth before returning to the CPL.  This is a quality ride with lots of interesting views that fully reward your hill climbing efforts.
