SCCC's Cruising to Killingworth Ride

Killer Hills:  County Road @ ~ 13.0 miles for about ¾ mile is a tough climb...not terribly steep but a lengthy climb

Starting Location (city/town):  Guilford

 

Starting Location (detailed directions to):  From I-95 Exit 57, go south on Rt. 1 for about 0.75 miles; immediately after passing Bishop's farm store on your left, turn right onto Dunk Rock Road; in 0.1 miles turn left onto Farm View Lane.  Turn right into A. W. Cox School parking lot in about 0.1 miles.   

 

Ride Description:  This is an inland tour through the rolling hills of Guilford, Madison, Killingworth and Clinton with forested views and some quiet but occasionally hilly back roads in the northern part of the route.  Enjoy a long descent along Green Hill Road about ¾ of the way into the ride.  A possible lunch stop is located on Rt. 81 at approx. mile cue 23.9.  See Facilities and Points of Interest section below for particulars.
