Location (detailed directions to):
J. Milton Jeffrey School, 331 Copse Rd, Madison, off I-95 Exit 61
(Rt. 79); from exit go north on Rt.79 for about ¼ mile and turn left
on Hunters Trail; follow for about ½ mile to end w/ SS; turn right on Copse
Rd and the school will be on your left in about 0.4 miles. Parking will be at a premium if not
non-existent while school is in session. Plan your ride accordingly.
Ride
Description: This ride is a
relaxed pedal along the shore heading east through Madison, Clinton and
Westbrook, returning across rolling terrain along wooded back roads. The suggested lunch stop is at
Westbrook Green. There is one
short, sharp uphill on Egypt Lane at mile cue 24.8 which can be avoided by
taking the flatter, longer alternate return route that starts at mile cue
24.0.
