SCCC's Milford to West Haven Ride

Starting Location (city/town):  Milford

 

Starting Location (detailed directions to):  To the rear of the Milford Public Library, located on Rt. 162 (New Haven Ave) just east of the main city intersection with River St.  Use public parking on far side of tennis courts.  All other parking areas have restrictions.  From I-95 North, take Exit 37.  Right onto High St. and cross Rt. 1 to Milford Green.  Left onto Broad St. at light.  Go straight across stone bridge.  Turn right (on Shipyard Lane – may not be signed) at light by Milford Library.  Drive around back of library and the tennis courts to the parking lot near the sign for Wilcox Park.  From I-95 South, take Exit 36 and turn left, and turn left again to head north to Exit 37 and follow above directions.  This parking area will likely be filled by commuters during the week.  Simply drive through the park and find a spot on a nearby street. Be aware of signs that restrict parking.  Some streets allow parking only on one side.

 

Ride Description:  This is a flat ride along the Milford and West Haven shoreline with outstanding views of L. I. Sound.  After visiting West Haven's Savin Rock area (turnaround), return to the starting point.
