SCCC's Branford Shore Ride

Starting Location (city/town):  Branford

 

Starting Location (detailed directions to):  While heading west on Rt. 1 immediately after passing the traffic light where Rt. 142 goes left, turn left at the next traffic light onto Alps Rd.  Continue for 0.1 mile (past the several shops @ 20 Alps Rd) and turn left into the large parking area to the rear of the stores (including Kohl's) in Branhaven Plaza.  Park near the Alps Rd exit.

 

Ride Description:  This short ride is over mostly flat terrain and visits several sites with shoreline vistas including the small harbor w/ the Yale Corinthian Yacht Club, Parker Memorial Park w/ views of Branford Harbor and Indian Neck w/ spectacular views of LI Soundamongst others.  An added feature is that the ride passes through Pine Orchard w/ splendid views of the Pine Orchard CC golf course, clubhouse and adjoining facilities.
