Total Distance: 18.0 miles                      Elevation Gain:  690 feet

Degree of Difficulty Index:  690 ft / 18.0 mi = 38.33 ft/mi       Terrain:  Rolling

Killer Hills:        None

Geographical Region:  South Central Connecticut

Starting Location (city/town):  Wallingford

Starting Location (detailed directions to):  Pond Hill Elementary School, Pond Hill Road, Wallingford; take I-91 Exit 13 onto the Wharton Brook Connector; @ the traffic light go left (south) on Rt. 5 for about 0.5 mile to the 1st left onto Scrub Oak Rd; follow for about 0.6 mile to end at stop sign; go left onto Bradley St and immediately right at the stop sign onto Pond Hill Rd.  Follow uphill for about 0.6 mile to the school on the right.

Ride Description:  While this is not one of my favorite rides, it does have some redeeming value.  The ride uses many back roads (several w/ very rough and broken pavement) as well as some well traveled routes and passes through several residential and farmland areas with pond views while visiting portions of Wallingford, North Haven and East Haven.
