Farmington Roads & Trails

 

Total Distance:  35.4 miles                 Elevation Gain:  1912 feet  

 

Degree of Difficulty Index:  1912 ft / 35.4 mi = 54.01 ft/mi             Terrain:  Rolling to hilly

 

Killer Hills: There are a couple of hilly sections

City/Town:  Farmington

 

Starting Location:  CPL at Rt. 4 and Town Farms Road just west of Farmington Center near the Tunxis Plantation Country Club

 

Ride Description:  This is an interesting ride on back roads and peaceful paved (rail) trails through Farmington, Avon, Collinsville and Burlington with nice views of the Farmington River.  There is some flat riding together with a challenging 4-mile hilly section.  There are several fine spots en route for a lunch/snack breakpick one.

 

LaSalle Market in Collinsville (14.9) is the only place to purchase lunch, snacks and beverages.
