Moodus & East Haddam Meander

Starting Location:  Rt. 9 Exit 9 CPL (Rt. 148) in Chester

 

Ride Description:  This ride travels up to East Haddam and Moodus over mostly rolling terrain with a few somewhat hilly sections along the way.  It features a visit to the historic village of Johnsonville in Moodus, a swing past the Moodus Reservoir, views of Bashan Lake, a possible lunch/snack stop at the picnic area in Devil's Hopyard State Park, a crossing of the Connecticut River via the Chester ferry ($2.00 fee) and then the ride passes through Chester Village.
