Starting Location:  Lyme Consolidated School, Rt. 156, Lyme 

 

Special Directions:  From the west: Take I-95 Exit 70.Go north on Rt. 156 approximately 7 miles. The school is on the left just before a white church.  From the east: Take I-95 Exit 70. Go straight onto Rt. 1 and past a shopping plaza on the left. Turn right at a traffic light onto Rt. 156 north. Follow Rt. 156 north for approximately 7 miles. The school is on the left just before a white church.

 

Ride Description:  This is a rolling to hilly ride on mostly back roads with visits to Devil's Hopyard State Park (Chapman Falls) and Lake Hayward. There is one 0.6 mile dirt road stretch. (To avoid the dirt road section, turn right at mile 19.7 on Lake Shore Drive and rejoin the route at mile 22.6.) There is one thrilling downhill (approximately mile 23.5). A nice lunch stop is at Chapman Falls in Devil's Hopyard State Park (mile 16.0). There is no place to purchase lunch on the route.
