Ride Description:  This ride exits Hubbard Park through a passage in the back of the park.  After 1.5 miles of riding along the Merimere Reservoir, this ride immediately climbs to Castle Craig, a major climb of 1.8 miles (600 ft. of vertical), where there is a spectacular view from the summit.  Take care on the trip down; there is a very sharp turn near the bottom.  The ride then winds through the Kensington section of Berlin before visiting the extreme southwest corner of New Britain, and the Shuttle Meadow and Wassel Reservoirs in Southington.  This is a mostly rolling to hilly ride with one major climb and several great down hills.  The Roger's Orchards farm store makes a good lunch stop.
