Marians East Windsor to Somers Ride – revised starting location

Starting Location:  East Windsor H. S. Rt. 5 & Tromley Rd. in East Windsor

 

Special Directions:  Take I-91 Exit 44 onto Rt. 5 south.  Follow Rt. 5 south for 1.1 miles. Turn right @ traffic light into East Windsor High School parking area.

 

Ride Description:  This is a pleasant ride over rolling terrain (there are a couple modest hills) through sections of East Windsor, Ellington, Somers and Enfield.  Much of the ride is through open spaces devoted to dairy and small farms with roadside stands, nurseries and tobacco fieldsvery pretty scenery. There is a nice lunch spot is in Somersville overlooking a mill pond and dam.
