Gran-bury Go-around (revised)

 

Total Distance:  34.2 miles                 Elevation Gain:  1323 feet

Killer Hills: One short, steep hill near the end of the ride

Starting Location:  International Skating Center of Connecticut (1375 Hopmeadow Street), Route 10 & 202 in the northern section of Simsbury near the Wagner car dealership

 

Ride Description:  This is a very scenic ride around Simsbury and Granby on mostly rolling terrain with one short killer hill.  The ride visits the magnificent Granby Oak, it passes the McLean Game Refuge, travels on both paved and unpaved sections of rail trail, and visits Stratton Brook State Park.  The suggested lunch/snack stop is at the Granby Green.
