Ted's Tour de Manure (a.k.a. Close Encounters of the Herd Kind)

Killer Hills: None; but there are several long (but mellow) uphill sections

Starting Location:  East Granby shopping plaza (Center Shops) parking lot, intersection of Route 20 & 187 in East Granby (just west of Bradley International Airport)

 

Ride Description:  This rural ride explores some of north central Connecticut's many dairy farms maximizing the BPD (Bovines per Mile), with inevitable stops for ice cream.  You'll ride through the region's cow towns (including East Granby, Granby, Simsbury, Canton, Suffield and Granville and Southwick, Massachusetts. Both the Gran-Val Scoop and the Granville Country Store are good choices for a lunch break.
